283 healthcare professionals graduate from UCC today
UCC鈥檚 Medical and Dental Conferring's take place today with 283 healthcare professionals graduating from UCC鈥檚 School of Medicine and Dental School and Hospital.
Families and friends from near and far including Canada, US, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, India, Brunei, Australia and China and other destinations will join on campus to celebrate this joyous occasion.
A total of 182 students graduate from School of Medicine with Honours Degree of Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Obstetrics, Master of Research and a Degree of Doctor of Science. 101 students today graduate from the Dental School and Hospital with Diplomas in Dental Hygiene, Diplomas in Dental Nursing, Honours Degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery.
Head of College Professor Helen Whelton congratulated all graduates: 鈥淭oday we honour you our students, your hard work, your resilience, your perseverance and your ability. Our health service will be all the richer because of your contribution and your commitment to learning鈥.
