IGNITE Alumni - LegitFit secures 鈧1.74m in funding to accelerate UK market expansion
IGNITE alumni , a Cork-based gym management software company, has successfully raised approximately 鈧1.74m to fuel its growth in the competitive UK market.
Founded in 2019 by Ryan O鈥橬eill, Gearoid Collins, and Ian O鈥橲ullivan, LegitFit has rapidly emerged as a key player in the fitness technology industry, offering an innovative platform that connects customers with physiotherapists, massage therapists, personal trainers, and fitness classes.
This latest funding round received substantial backing from Business Venture Partners (BVP) through EIIS, Delta Partners, and US-based TechStars, with Delta Partners and TechStars continuing their support as follow-on investors. The capital injection will enable LegitFit to double down on its expansion in the UK and explore further opportunities in other English-speaking markets, including the US, Australia, and New Zealand.
Speaking about the achievement, LegitFit's co-founder and CEO, Ryan O鈥橬eill, said, 鈥淚n a market where not a lot of things are going right for companies, it is definitely a big achievement. It kind of backs what we are doing here."
鈥淚n the UK, we have made a pretty significant dent in it now,鈥 he said. 鈥淚t is just about doubling down there.鈥
LegitFit, which joined the IGNITE programme in 2018, has already made significant strides in the UK, attracting interest from some of the country's largest gym and fitness chains. With this new investment, the company is well-positioned to continue its growth trajectory and further solidify its presence in the global fitness industry.
