UCC subjects ranked in Top 100 globally

- World鈥檚 most-consulted university ranking places UCC in top 100 internationally for four subjects
- UCC ranked first in Ireland for Nursing, Agriculture & Forestry, Anatomy & Physiology, and Law
Four University College Cork (UCC) subjects are today ranked in the top 100 globally, with Nursing, Agriculture & Forestry, Pharmacy & Pharmacology, and Law at UCC positioned highly in the latest edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject are compiled annually to help prospective students identify the leading universities in a particular subject. Research citations, along with the results of major global surveys of employers and academics are used to rank universities.
1,543 universities across the globe are examined by the London-based QS, and it ranked UCC in the top 100 in the world for Nursing (41st globally), Agriculture & Forestry (59th), Pharmacy & Pharmacology (66th), and Law (75th).
In total, nine subjects at UCC are ranked among the top 200 in the world, including Anatomy and Physiology (101-140 globally), English Language and Literature (101-150), Medicine, Modern Languages, and Politics & International Studies (all 151-200).
UCC鈥檚 strong performance in Nursing, Agriculture & Forestry, Law, and Anatomy & Physiology has these courses ranked number one in Ireland in their particular subjects.
In total 15 subjects at UCC either held or improved their position in this year鈥檚 QS World University Rankings.

Inaugurated in 2004, the London based QS rankings has grown to become the world鈥檚 most popular source of independent comparative data about university performance.
